Healing through embodied deep ecology
by and for inhabitants of the urbanised & digitalised world
Supporting journeys towards harmony between inner & outer ecologies
we are kirien & soren
guide, mentor, facilitator, many names, bringing together many modalities, creating integrative and holistic experiences, [list more things you’ve wanted to call yourself and are not sure or feel complicated about]
we come from many parts of the world, our work is international & intercultural in dna, supporting people to connect deeply with lands they are not “native” to, lived experience with diaspora, immigration, queerness, stress and disembodiment caused by that. build bridges between cultures, diplomacy, peacemaking. bring “esoteric” practices to people across cultural backgrounds in accessible ways
we mostly work together, with a few exceptions. open to reaching out for 1-1s and collabs and just to hang out and make friends. etc
our work is sacred
ecosystems are formed by networks of relationships. relationships are what keeps the world together. relationships with other humans & the more-than-human world. relational mindfulness practices with humans and “nature”. conscious interaction and communication using all of our senses. sharing & being curious about differences. we are interested in building community and always open to collaborations especially across cultural and national borders, including online when travelling is inaccessible.
our work is relational
our work is embodied
our work is grounded through an ecological lens
some people feel “sacred” is a complicated word. what does it mean? to cherish something. cherish every moment, every breath. being intentional. being aware there are many forces greater than our individual bodies and minds; the preciousness, miracle, mystery of life. connection to higher purpose, being in service to it. “spirit” means the breath of life. it is not an abstract thing. working with plant medicine in a way that honours their animacy, the spirit of the plant.
individuals are part of ecosystems. individual “dis-eases” are expressions of ecological dis-eases. holistic healing looks at the whole of a person’s ecosystem and its porous edges with what is around them. by healing your ecosystem you contribute to healing the planet. by learning to love the planet you learn to love yourself. a relaxed body breathes out relaxed air that is taken in by other beings; spreading antidote to tension and stress with each breath. we support you to heal yourself, and go on to heal the world through being your most grounded and balanced self.
being grounded. noticing tension held in our muscles and bones. the body is an ecosystem with many beings inside of it, it deserves to be treated with care and given the right nourishment. care for our own bodies as you would care for animals and plants in your home. we interact with the more-than-human world through our “human” bodies, ecological relationships on our planet are embodied in nature. when inner ecology is relaxed, its interface with the outer ecology is most open and generative
