Reiki + Sound Therapy
Reiki
Grounded in my own deep relaxation and conscious connection to Rei (spirit, mystery) and Ki (life force energy), I use gentle touch and loving presence to support & strengthen your body’s innate healing and rebalancing capacities.
To receive a Reiki treatment, one is typically laying or sitting down in a position that is as comfortable as possible. As the recipient, you do not need to do anything, think about anything, focus on anything, move your body in any way, be aware of the time, or even try to stay awake.
I offer Reiki as one of my main modalities because of a deep belief that regular practice of the art of non-doing and the art of receiving are crucial to physical, spiritual & relational health — and something which the modern world is deeply lacking.
Everyone can benefit from a Reiki treatment, regardless of your beliefs about spirituality or energy. When we give our mind and body the gift of time & space to do nothing, time to simply receive care & attention — clarity, healing & wholeness will naturally begin to emerge.

Sound Therapy
Sound healing, sound therapy, or “sound bathing” aims to facilitate deep relaxation through active vibrational stimulation. It can be particularly effective for those who generally struggle to “lay still” or experience a lot of mental chatter that may even get worse in the absence of external stimulation.
I have 4 large Tibetan singing bowls which can be played directly on the body for a soothing vibrational massage. They can also be played around the body, or even over a video call, and may be joined in by other instruments. I also activate Reiki in the instruments and invite Reiki healing to be transmitted alongside the sound waves.
Beginning a Reiki treatment with 15 minutes of sound healing or vibrational massage can support a much deeper level of relaxation and stress relief. If desired, this part of the session can be made longer.
Here is a study you can read about the neurophysiological effects of singing bowl massage.
Duration: 90 mins
Price: 800 NOK or €70 EUR
Recommended for: relaxation, stress relief, nervous system rebalancing, burnout recovery, support to slow down and be more in the body, quieting the mind, allowing yourself time to “do nothing”, practice receiving care and attention from another person, catching up on sleep, holistic healing that begins on the physiological level…
Session structure
Intake + Arrival (15 min)
A check-in about what brings you here and any healings intentions you are carrying. Explaining practicalities of what to expect, and clarifying any boundaries or contraindications.
Then, we do a short practice together to support deepening into your healing intention and marking a transition between “ordinary consciousness” and a meditative one. This practice may include guided meditation, tarot and oracle cards, or ceremonial tea.
Reiki + Sound treatment (60 min)
We usually begin with 10-15 mins of sound therapy, but this can be longer or shorter according to your preference.
If you are here in person, you’ll be laying on a massage table — with as many blankets and pillows as you wish. I usually give Reiki by placing my hands on various points around your body and holding still for several minutes at a time, working downwards from the head to the feet. We will agree beforehand if there are specific areas of the body that want extra attention, or do not want to be touched.
If online, you are welcome to join from any physical location or position that would best support deep relaxation. You can be off-camera during the treatment. My camera will stay on so you can see what I am doing.
Post-treatment debrief (15 min)
You are welcome to give feedback and share anything about your experience. I may also share anything that came up in my experience of being connected to your energy — and send you off with recommended resources or practices that may support integration.

FAQs
-
On the surface - one involves me playing instruments and the other involves me communicating with the spirit world…
I usually recommend a Reiki + Sound session for those who want to work more on the physical or embodied level, or with a greater focus on rest, relaxation, harmonisation, and “non-doing”.
Shamanic Reiki may be more suitable if you want to work on healing primarily at the psycho-spiritual level, have specific questions or life concerns that you want insight and new perspectives on, or simply find it easier to engage with guided imagery techniques.
Originally, Reiki + Sound healing developed as a purely in-person offering where my focus was on supporting deep relaxation on the physical plane, while Shamanic Reiki healing developed as a purely online offering where there was no specific focus on the body at all.
-
In-person sessions take place in Oslo, in my practice space in Sverres gate.
Online sessions can happen anywhere you like, but ideally somewhere where you will have privacy and not be disturbed.
-
I recommend dressing in comfortable clothing, and anything else that would support your body to relax during the session.
Additional preparation for distance sessions:
Please do whatever you need to create a physical and energetic container for yourself that can support relaxation and comfort, such as:
- Using headphones to minimise potentially stressful “distractions” around you
- Having water, snacks, blankets, pillows, an eye cover, something soft to lay down on
- Turning off your notifications, make sure you won’t be disturbed by other humans for the hour
- Lighting a candle or incense, having meaningful objects or elements of nature close byIt is also recommended to have at least 15 mins of spaciousness and quiet between our call and your next meeting or appointment.
-
Reiki does not have any contraindications.
It is not recommend to play sound healing instruments on or close to the body if you are currently pregnant, recovering from surgeries or injuries, have a pacemaker or metal implants.

Everyone is different, and I can’t guarantee how it will be like for you. For those with limited experience with energy work, I typically invoke the metaphor of “meditating together”. Sometimes, meditation is simply deeply relaxing and stress-relieving; other times, it can also involve spontaneous transformative insights and other experiences typically described as “spiritual”. Occasionally, intense and uncomfortable thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations may surface and move through — this is understood as an energetic release response, which is also perfectly normal.
Falling asleep during the session is quite common and very welcome.
There is no right or wrong, better or worse experience — I trust that whatever experience you do have, is the one that’s most needed right now.
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.
