Distance Reiki & Sound Healing

Reiki — at a distance

Here is general info about our Reiki practice that applies to both in-person and distance work.

Distance sessions are conducted over video call. During the treatment, you are invited to turn your camera off and find a laying or sitting position that can allow your body to fully relax. Before & after the treatment, we will have time to talk about your intentions and debrief your experiences.

Giving a Reiki treatment from across the world works by the same principles that “hands-off” treatment in the same physical room does — by holding focused, compassionate, loving intention towards the recipient. The primary function of gentle physical touch between practitioner and recipient is to support relaxation; it is not strictly necessary in order for Reiki to flow.

Some people feel they can relax more easily when they are in the familiarity and privacy of their own space. For others, physically travelling to receive an in-person session may be time-, cost- or energy-prohibitive. There are many life situations in which distance treatment would be more appropriate or accessible than in-person treatments. Our main motivation in offering distance Reiki treatment is to support the accessibility of the practice, and to be reachable by the global community.

Sound Healing — at a distance

Here is general info about our Sound Healing practice that applies to both in-person and distance work.

We offer the possibility of receiving distance Reiki treatment with a full sound healing session at the same time. While one of us is giving Reiki, the other will also be connecting to your energy body & healing intentions, and intuitively composing a musical soundscape just for you with our sound healing instruments. This will be recorded and sent to you afterwards, so it can be listened to as often as you like.

Just as we channel Reiki energy from a source beyond ourselves, we see ourselves as channels of the music that wants to come through our instruments — to be received by your whole being. We cannot say for sure where it comes from or what it means, only that it is meant specifically for you, in this very moment, as a direct response to the healing intentions that have brought you to the session.

In a 1-1 session, we may use sound healing instruments briefly at the beginning & end of Reiki treatment to support transitioning in & out of the receptive state. The treatment itself will be accompanied by pre-recorded music, which can also be shared afterwards if desired.

Personal distance healing sessions

  • Kirien's hands in prayer position

    1-1 distance Reiki sessions

A 60 minute session with one of us. It will be mostly focused on sending Reiki, with some additional sound healing elements to support relaxation and receptivity.

The cost for this is 50€.

  • Soren & Kirien playing instruments by the water

    2-1 Reiki + Sound sessions

A 60 minute session with both of us. One will be sending Reiki while the other plays sound healing instruments — connecting with & allowing your energy body to guide how the live music emerges. The music will be recorded and is yours to keep afterwards.

The cost for this is 70€.

  • Two people laying on the floor receiving a sound healing together

    Couples & duos (2-2)

One of us sends Reiki while the other plays sound healing instruments. We take the time to connect with your individual energy bodies as well as the energy body of the relationship itself. Friends, family members & other “non-couple” duos are very welcome.

The cost for this is 80€ for 60 min.

How does a distance session work?

Distance sessions follow the same basic structure as in-person sessions, except they are generally shorter*, at up to 60 minutes.

Here we describe the basic session structure.

In general, a 60min distance session is structured such:
- Intake conversation & arrival practice ~ 15-20min
- Reiki & Sound ~ 25-30min
- Debrief ~ 15min

Establishing energetic connection over distance
In order to send Reiki, we need to know “who” and “where” to send it to. To help with establishing the energetic connection, practitioners may ask for the recipient’s full name, date of birth and/or geographical location. As eco-oriented practitioners, the “where” is of special importance to our process (& we won’t be asking you for the other details — your presence on the call is sufficient to establish the “who”).

During the intake conversation, we will take a few moments to ask about where you currently are — acknowledging the land you are on & inviting it in to our session container. You could send us your Maps coordinates, or share the name of the neighbourhood/city/town. You can even show us around on camera — in your room, the view out the window, or if you are already outside — as well as share anything that feels significant about the weather, topography, plants & animals in the surrounding ecosystem.

Preparation for a distance session
We want you to be as comfortable as possible during the session. Please do whatever you need to create a physical and energetic container for yourself that can support relaxation, such as:
- Having water, snacks, blankets, pillows, an eye cover, something soft to lay down on
- Turning off your notifications, make sure you won’t be disturbed by other humans for the hour
- Lighting a candle or incense, having meaningful objects or elements of nature close by
- Feel free to join from your bed, the forest floor, or any location that feels supportive**

We also recommend giving yourself at least 15min of spaciousness and quiet between our call and your next meeting or appointment.

*The reason for in-person sessions being longer, is to support the body with gentler “before & after” transitions. It can take time to get physically comfortable and able to “settle in” to a space that one is not normally in, especially when arriving directly from commuting through a hectic urban landscape. Similarly, at the end of a session when you are coming out of deep relaxation & preparing to re-enter the unavoidable chaos between our space and your home — this is a tender time, and it is important that no one feels rushed.

**If joining from outdoors or your mobile device, don’t forget to make sure it is and will stay sufficiently charged — to avoid needing to worry about it mid-session.

Custom sessions combining Reiki & Sound with other practices are also possible online — just ask.

FAQs

  • On Zoom.

You can join from any location you like. If you prefer not to be on camera at all, audio-only is also possible.

  • Please only share as much or as little as you feel comfortable :)

The more precisely we can be connected to where you are, the better we feel able to connect with your being as a whole — spiritual as well as physical — that is a unique feature of our process & style as practitioners. So, it helps us lead a better session when we know your exact location — but it won’t help if sharing it has you feeling uncomfortable afterwards.

  • You definitely can! If you like, we can also show you all the instruments that could be involved, before getting started. We’ll try our best to honour any preferences — although, we can’t guarantee anything, since we relate to the instruments as animate beings, each with an individual sense of agency and preference.

It might be that your preferred instrument is “not in the mood” today, or one that you didn’t pay any attention to has a lot to say to you, … etc :)

  • This is possible, if you are not able to pay the full session fee — just ask :)

Similar to our coaching & guidance packages, you can also here book 5 sessions in advance and get the 6th “for free” — these sessions can be gifted to your friends and family as well!

“I see the mycelium as the Earth's natural Internet, a consciousness with which we might be able to communicate. […] Because these externalized neurological nets sense any impression upon them, from footsteps to falling tree branches, they could relay enormous amounts of data regarding the movements of all organisms through the landscape.”
